How it works
From assessment to the twelve month review.
- 01
Before you travel
A clinical assessment, and you name a doctor in Germany.
- 02
In hospital
Your record is written to a common standard as you are treated.
- 03
Before you land
Your Passport reaches the doctor you named.
- 04
Months 3, 6 and 12
Your check-ups are recorded in Germany, into the same record.
Built on published standards
Nothing here is invented notation.
ICHOM Adult Obesity Set
An internationally agreed list of what to measure after bariatric surgery, so two clinics report the same things.
Clavien-Dindo
The standard grading of surgical complications by the treatment they required, from Grade I to Grade V.
HL7 FHIR
The interchange format for health records. It is what lets a German practice read a record written in Istanbul.
GDPR
Health data is a special category. It moves only on your explicit consent, and Article 20 gives you the right to take it with you.
European Health Data Space
From 2029, EU rules extend portability specifically to health records across member states.
Payment follows the follow up.
Seventy per cent is released at treatment. The clinic is paid promptly for the work it has done, on the day it does it.
Thirty per cent is held. It is released when a verified six month check is filed by a physician at home, not by the clinic itself.
The incentive changes. A clinic that loses touch with a patient loses the remainder. Follow-up stops being goodwill and becomes part of the contract.
